This is how we measure "nice" on the East Coast. It's not just the cities either. Even the Amish are unbelievably blunt when they have something to say.

Like driving anywhere in coastal New England. One hand on the wheel one using horn and middle finger in bumper to bumper traffic moving 75-80 mph or of course the joys of changing lanes in that especially in a truck. You put your blinker on wait 20-30 seconds and start moving over. They will get out of the way especially if you’re bigger than them

I hate it when I find a drama thread this late in the fuss.

 

The op of this post really started something here with his harsh, and in this case unnecessary, words.

I have noticed one good thing came out of this though. The replies to the new members questions have been a lot nicer since this thread was posted.

Just wanted to say WAY TO GO!!!! Keep up the civilized responses and we will stop pushing away the new members.

 

This all sounds like fighting words to me.

 

Not fighting words. More like a compliment.

IMO this is a great forum, as I have stated. The one flaw I have noticed is that we can be a little harsh to new members. This has gotten better over the last week or so. I think it is great and can only improve the site.
