This morning I pick up a newspaper and on page 16 there is an add .... $57.00 for a 1 OZ. silver bar if you live the noted states if you don't live in those state they are $134.00. If you buy 2 you get free shipping. PS don't PM me for the phone number
I never thought of doing that. Sounds like a good way to buy silver at today's prices and resell for a quick turnaround and a profit.
Was it something like this? http://schiffgold.com/key-gold-news/scammers-pick-pockets-with-silver-bars-advertised-as-real-steal/
These scumbags are all over the place. Financial predators. I was late on a quarterly tax payment on a piece of property I own this year. There are many that comb the tax records looking for delinquent taxes, and they are predatory buyers. One "scoped" me out this year. And while the taxes were already paid by the time he got his form letter mailings out - I took it as an opportunity to put in a nice "Yelp" review of his business. He sent me an offer of a paltry amount for my property and the marketing fluff saying it's a very fair and reasonable offer - and will take the stress and burden off of me by relieving me of the need to maintain the property. I've turned down offers that were in excess of 20 times his offer - it was a serious joke. I did a bit of research on the guy, and he's into all kinds of these scam businesses. Help you recover government money (for a big fee), buy your underwater real estate, even car title loans. He's a scumbag predator. The sad part is that there are so many of these guys out there -and all it takes is one good score on someone else's ignorance. He's now made a new "friend" in me, and I'll keep an eye out for my neighbors. Caveat Emptor
While I agree this is no way to do business, you have to wonder about the people who pay 3x melt or more for silver. Do they not have 5 seconds to google and find out what a rip off this is?
The advertising and pictures are very convincing. I'm guessing they are probably targeting the low income, uneducated, elderly population.
Those folks are the frequent target of these scams. Which makes them even more reprehensible than they already are.
There was a time when the NY Times probably would have rejected such an ad, full page or not. But they have their own $$$$ problems now. Is this the outfit that the obviously semi-senile former Mint director does TV for?
You could get four ounces of silver tonight from HSN, all pretty in a bar made up like a $500 bill, for $149.95. Once again, can people look up the silver price and do a little math?
Thankyou!!!! And no they don't have 5 seconds to see what they are getting into. They are the end result of Nanny coddling her precious Mongos.
