This might be a clip. The first thing to do would be to lay another cent down and see if it fits into the "clip" area. There is a phenomenon called the Blakesley Effect which causes the rim and sometimes the legends that are straight across from the clip to be badly formed. I don't see this on your coin, but that is no proof it is not a real clip. Clips are not that uncommon and aren't worth a ton of money.
Cut a slot in a piece of cardboard, insert coin to make it stand on edge. This will not scratch coin. You may have a straight clip coin. http://www.error-ref.com/_straight_clips_/
I don't see any Blakesley Effect. BUT If it's a clip it could be small enough that it didn't happen. Whatever, you need some MUCH better pictures (focus and closeups) to tell with any certainty.
I cringed when I got to the second and third picture. Don't ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever grip any coin like that. EVER!
