Social media is a problem along with the quality of education. It has opened the door for more depressed young people. If they don’t get enough views or likes it can and does effect their mental well being. Where peer pressure used to be localized to a small group or school, now it’s open to millions. Many young people can’t handle rejection on such a large scale in front of their group of friends. As it is now, without social media many in this age group feel isolated if they aren’t plugged in 24/7. It’s a festering time bomb.

If they are depressed that’s a different story of course. I got teenagers at home and they don’t need views or likes at all. I guess I got lucky…
