    I RECENTLY BOUGHT THIS COIN
    2013 PALAU $10 MYSTICAL CREATURES 'WEREWOLF' 2Oz

But when i searched it in the NGC World Coin Price Guide, It wasn't there, I searched a lot but couldn't get it there. Then I tried to search in numista, I didn't get it there also. What is the reason behind this all?

    It isn't a coin. It's bullion. Perhaps that's why?

Well some are saying that it is a junk..!!!
There were only 999 were minted.
Some are saying that it isn't in the catalogue because NGC is not updated

    Can this be true?

It's 2oz of silver. Melt value is what like ~$35. Obviously it has more of a collectable value than just melt. I honestly don't know if NGC puts things like this in their catalogue since like I said, it's more of a bullion piece than an actual coin.

So does alibaba and aliexpress for few dollars each. Eyes wide open.

Based on that, do you think the American Silver Eagle $1 is not a coin?

It's not listed, no big deal, there are many coins that are not listed yet, you shouldn't worry about it, as long as it's real and you enjoy it, forget about NGC and numista.

I consider ASEs to be government issued bullion - yes :)

I'm with you frog. I call them all bullion pieces. I, just my definition, of a coin is that it's meant for commerce. These are not. Now let's muddy the water with "proof" coins...lol.

I get they have stated value, which technically makes them a coin, but we all know that you're buying the piece for its PM and design. I do own many bullion pieces. I happen to like them. I just picked up the 2014 Tuvalu American Bald Eagle High relief piece. I think it's an awesome rendition of the eagle's head. Much better than the Canadian Mint's versions.

Collect what you like, like what you collect.

Yes very easily. NGC uses Numismaster by Krause for prices on world coins. Krause only has prices for pieces that are listed in their books. This is a very recent piece and they probably don't have it listed yet. Sometimes it can take years before a new piece gets listed. I have two 14 inch double row boxes of coins that aren't listed on the catalogs yet and some of them date back as far as 2005.

You also have the fact that this is from Palau. They issue a ton of different NCLT coins every year that have no reason for their existence other than to be sold to collectors for inflated prices.

Not exactly. It contains about $35 worth of silver, and if priced competitively with other bullion coins, it would be a $50 to $60 item...

Assuming it is real. I've found several places on alibaba selling them for about 80 cents a piece.

I think it's cool - not $260 cool but still cool.

Good point on Alibaba. Since I don't buy oddball silver, I tend to forget about them.
