@green18, nice specimen, however, regarding the title of this thread, it's not correct...the moment you acquire them, they're "getting old with you". Hey, I just realized something & I am going to PM you!
I have the same feeling, I love the design of this coin. Here's the San Francisco Proof and then I bounced the light down on it in the 2nd image. I love Photoscape as well, been using it since it first came out.
I remember this one. The young lady's father had this ASE displayed on a curio shelf for years in the sunlight. She came here asking about it and many accused her of artificial toning the piece. I wonder if she kept her fathers ASE?
Walking Liberty is my favorite coin design. And I'm also a big fan of edge inscriptions. So I went all-in for 2016: A complete set of Proof, Uncirculated, and bullion -- raw and slabbed. To avoid confusion: The Proof and Unc 2016 ASEs were edge inscribed, but not the bullion version. Hopefully they'll stay beautiful and won't develop any blemishes.
I’m afraid I don’t own her anymore. She now resides in a very nice NGC registry set. I found and submitted her myself (NGC MS68), with the intent of gifting it. I only gift coins I would also like to own. Hopefully she’s not mad at me still.
