Oh, so you're one of those who files claims alleging that perfectly genuine coins are counterfeit in the hopes eBay will let you keep them? If not, then I obviously wasn't talking about you. (And no... I most certainly don't think you do, and you know damn well that's NOT what I was saying nor implying)
Yes, I know, I plead guilty to stirring the pot. I have received some few coins that were either not what I ordered or were bogus. In most cases I returned the coin, because I didn't want a fake. Just thought this person could have some retribution invoked on them. Bad idea...never mind
Please don't get me wrong; this guy absolutely deserves it, and I'm sure the same goes for the sellers of your mentioned fakes. The point was that when we constantly remind people of how they may be able to get free stuff, it's going to be abused, not by doing so with actual counterfeits, but by claiming genuine coins to be counterfeit in the hopes eBay allows the person to simply keep them. My apologies for any confusion.
So, I guess threatening another eBay member and selling nothing but fakes WILL get you kicked off. At least temporarily. Chide me all you want for pointlessly reporting a scammer, but if enough people (specifically, buyers) did so perhaps we could convince eBay to tighten their standards a bit.
There's a difference between reporting and trying to reason directly with them. My previous post was obviously addressing the later.
eBay policy no longer allows any replica coins, no matter if they are marked COPY or not or if the seller discloses they are not genuine. Replica or counterfeit coins are not allowed on eBay. http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/currstamps.html
