    Note how square the mint mark looks and the tiny die chip in the upper loop of the S.

    I look at the V.D.B. next.
    Note how the angle of each letter should be to the rim of the coin.

    Are all the images you posted for 1909-S VDBs? I overlaid the 1st image and it doesn't match any of the four S-VDB obverses. It does match the blue mintmark location for a 1909-S though 1909 S VDB 3.JPG 1909 S VDB 4.JPG 1909 S VDB 5.JPG .
