And low balling would be anything less than 80% of retail. Most &quot;good&quot; dealers wil offer 15% - 20% less than retail.</p><p><br /></p><p>But to others current retail might be whatever is listed in <i>Coin Values</i>, <i>Coins</i> magazine or any other publication. And to some it might be a dealer&#039;s asking price. But there&#039;s a problem with dealers&#039; asking prices they are all over the place. The exact same coin can sell for $80 at one dealer&#039;s and $30 at another - so how does that do you much good to determine current retail ?
