Hail Britannia, a very lovely vignette from @daveydempsey 's note above - which absolutely is my personal fave Anglish note. If you are going to replace a classic note that the basic elements served the Bank of England for just over 100 years, replace it with something stunning.

Much like the United States, the Philippines had a banking system similar to the United States with treasury and central bank notes - but the Bank of the Philippine Islands is actually a private institution that descended from the Banco Espanol de las Islas Filipinas. This bank is one of the largest institutions in the Philippines.

 

Certainly not the most appealing example, but what else could a 10-year-old afford over a decade ago?
