A newb that arrived from the UK yesterday:

Rather common now in unissued remainder form as First Trust Bank(Successor to Provincial Bank) sold off it's archives - but issued "All Ireland" notes are rather fiendishly scarce. This was a very shortlived issue from Dublin, after the establishment of the Currency Commission in 1928 banks were required to issue a common "Consolidated" issue with only their bank name. So notes issued before then were quickly withdrawn as they were no longer tender in the Irish Free State.

A "Gulf Rupee" for circulation in the British protectorates in the early 60's. Indian currency circulated in the countries with the Gulf Rupee valuation tied to the Indian Rupee. These "Gulf Rupee" issues were unique to the region in order to break the tie in valuation between the Gulf Rupee and the local currency in circulation in India.

I was only 13 years old when I bought this note; it was also the first time I spent more than $150 on a coin or a piece of paper money.

That's a nice note @scottishmoney and a low serial number to boot. If you don't mind me asking, how much did that cost you?

Correction: In the previous version of this post, I erroneously confused this note with the Series of 1880 $10 Legal Tender Note. Which in the eyes of collectors is popularly referred to as the "Jackass" type for the eagle's supposed resemblance to the head of a mule.

Anyway, the large-size notes that I've posted recently were never scanned hence the poor photo quality. Most of these notes were TPG certified a few years ago and were promptly deposited into my safe-deposit box in Georgia. It isn't exactly convenient for me anymore, which means I haven't accessed it since the COVID-19 outbreak began.
