Quite weird to think about, but either way, here is a 1940-S nickel, graded PCGS F-12, that I got on Great Collections for $7 (total).</p><p><br /></p><p>Here are some pros to this:</p><p>It has the TrueView, and a cool allure of cheap coins in holders.</p><p>It has a wood grain pattern, signifying an improper alloy mix.</p><p>There is also a die crack, which shouldn&#039;t raise the value too much other than to a die crack collector.</p><p>Also, I didn&#039;t have to pay to get this graded.</p><p><br /></p><p>Here are the cons:</p><p>A spot of corrosion near the date.</p><p>The fact that the coin is literally pocket change.</p><p>The die crack is unattributed as to what type, and likely unnatributable.</p><p><b>Someone lost a lot of sanity getting this graded.</b></p><p><br /></p><p>Either way, it is quite cool in my book!
