Hello again everyone! VA finaly settled (at least partialy) so No more selling and back to hoar... collecting! For my return I have restarted the set I had the most fun building and most regret selling (even if i did make a profit on this one set lol) Ok to start, the survivor of the original $20 set 1857 large date PCGS "genuine" "ungradeable" and the 1st 2 additions a decent 1845 and a very nice 1846 small date (still to be treated with verdicare)
Nice! I went back and read some of your old stuff. Good work, and welcome back! I have a set similar to what you're putting together, complete except for the 1804 (obviously), and the '09. Now i need to find an affordable '09.
A set like this is alot of fun.. not expensive... Looking more for "face appeal" then value. On the other hand I'm one of those last minute e-bay snipers and I managed some real nice coins last time for under 20
gonna keep this in one thread for now.. will neaten it up for an album once all in hand.. Yeah I been a bad weasel and sniping auctions and even talked a dealer that won't usualy budge down to $25 on a nice 1818 (I'm allowing it because it's slabbed) so here we go, a few of the better sellers pics.. 1st the 1818 (another "genuine" label) then a very nice 1826 for only 15 but my prize so far... a well traveled 1801 for 18 and 5-6 more inbound that will wait for better pictures before i post em
