OK, and the first time you see a post where you see - I bought this coin from so n so, it was supposed to be XF45. But no way ! This thing would be lucky to be graded VF30 ! What a rip off !! Then what do you think about that seller ? Of course, what doesn't get taken into account is that you don't know that poster. Perhaps he couldn't grade a coin properly with a flashlight, 2 magnifying glasses, and 3 people to help him. And the coin was a legitimate XF45. Or the opposite gets posted - hey I just bought this from so n so. This is absolutely great ! I could not be happier ! But the coin was offered and described as a select MS65 and in actuality it would be lucky to get an MS63 from SGS. And of course when either one of those things happen everybody has to join in, voice their opinions, say no you are wrong because, start a big argument, and end up with the mods having to step in to restore peace to the forum. Just take a look at what happens in the threads posted regarding ethics. That would be mild compared to threads providing feedback. The thread that this got closed, the one this thread is replacing - another perfect example. I'm sorry, but the downside so far outweighs any possible upside that in my opinion it is very good thing that we do not have it. And that is my opinion as a member, not as a moderator. Now if somebody wants to make a thread and say how happy they are with a coin they got form so n so - go right ahead. It happens all the time. Or, if somebody feels to the need to post about a deal gone wrong - post away. That happens too, just a whole lot less often. But almost without exception when such a thread is posted, it ends up either getting closed or having the mods having to step in. That is not good for the forum. And if we had a special section for feedback - just imagine how that would spiral out of control. And when the mods had to step in, then there would be claims and accusations of favoritism or partiality, and then more people would choose sides regarding that. And that is not good for the forum. I'm sorry, but I see nothing good at all that could ever come from a feedback section. But I have no problem seeing all kinds of bad that could come from it.
