If the question was halves, definately would have gotten more yes's. If the question was nickels, would have been asking about pennies, but also would have been more yes's. The penny is 1. If you remove the penny, you have to remove the nickel, dime, quarter, and half also
I am dead right and am entitled to freedom of speech-- What's "agrevating" is your senseless misspelling.
Your right to free speech is limited to PUBLIC forums. This is a PRIVATE forum and they can do whatever they want. You and I don't get to tell them what THEY have to permit. You think we're the Government or something?
One of the best aspects of this forum is that posters are given considerable leeway to say their piece within prescribed rules.
I've noticed that, but they get to decide how much leeway we get or even change their mind if they so choose. I'm sure my perspective would not be appreciated by the usual suspects if this were a political forum, but since I can't get on their political forum I tend to push the envelope here. But I recognize their right to run their forum as they see fit. Now everyone knows that Cent is the right term, but that penny is commonly used jargon. It's not really necessary to keep picking at the scab.
Cash will never go away although electronic transaction will continue to lesson its usage. That has been going on for a long time though. Checks have been around forever and so have different means of wiring money. The composition of the cent might change though but I don't think the US Congress will ever have the guts to abolish it.:hammer:
