$25, considering you had to pay postage. Can't see there being much of a spread on this.

By the way, redwin, how this thread typically works is that the person who guesses the closest gets to post the next coin, but things have been a bit disrupted lately.

Nice half. I really don't know what the toning premium is on Franklins or how uncommon it is. I'll go $42.

The premiums on toned coins will astonish you. I was counting a partial roll of 1954-S unc dimes for an inventory and noticed 3 really nicely toned specimens. Checking ebay I noticed areally nicely rainbow toned specimen (1954-S 10c NGC 67 I think) went for $198. Maybe I should send those dimes in but it is difficult for me to pay them $15- $20 to grade a coin I have 41 cents in. I have seen graded MS 63 40% common Kennedy Halves with monster toning go fo $35 - $50 on the Bay. People like toned coins and I gave up a long time ago as far as developing some "factor" to value them. Toning is a qualitative element in the process vs a quanitative factor like bullion value.

I like that golden toning but would be surprised if you paid much, if any, premium for it. $45.
