I forgot about those rainbows! Although, as was pointed out, they are asking prices only. Nonetheless, they prove your point. I did a little research on Heritage when you posted those links but didn't come across any toners.

I passed on several wheaties last week at a show that had rainbow toning that one dealer had, and i thought they were rather common. His prices were pretty reasonable but i dont know much about penny toning... I figured it was AT with a look like that on copper? Guess i missed an opportunity but i now know what to look for!

    Anyone know what this is?

Can anyone tell me what this is, it looks like the outside is a penny, inside is a dime.
    Is it worth anything?

Not toning, thats for sure. Looks like a dryer coin... Google it or search the forum. But post a thread in the error section if your still unsure after that, you'll get better results.

Not slabbed, but a common date. I just picked this one up a few days ago. Any guess on grade? I'm sending it off to PCGS after the holidays (dont want to loose it in shipping).

Well I'm not the toning pro as I keep reading the 28 pages to learn about these. I feel that this coin is not going to grade as it will get artificial color.
But lets wait and see what others say.

Unfortunately, I do not think this coin will slab. :(

That's what I'm saying. These two coins have the exact same toning pattern. That will not happen naturally.
I would not bother sending them in for grading as I think you'd be wasting your money for the Details grade you'd receive IMO.

Why would you want to slab that coin? I cannot tell for sure from your pictures, but I think it is AU. If not AU, it would be a 61/62 at best.

I agree with the others that the coin will not grade due to artificial toning.

Artificial toning and it's been cleaned and or circulated....not worth certification of any kind.

You didn't list the grade and where you got it from so it make this next to impossible but I am going to guestimate that it's UNC in say MS64 condition and you paid $4,000 for it?

You have to put a warning sign when showing neons as such.....LOL
    I would say MS63 $3200

The 4 pictures are of the same coin... I thought it was AT... I paid $25 for it in the melt pile.

I'd say $2,150 for the busted half.

I read the FMV as $350. Try $1,100.
