$57,500 for the monster morgan.... (which is just as insane (or is it inane?) as that $1,100 25¢).

    It sold for $47,825.

This the the finest, rainbow toned, high grade, Morgan known. It is known as "The Moose".

This coin is owned by a guy that goes by Aurora Borealis on another forum. If you want to see some stunning toners, especially Morgans, but also all coins types, check out:

I understand, but can not verify, that it later on, sold for $68,000+

These are crazy prices, but I'm not shocked as I can see the top end of the market being virtually unbounded as long as a few wealthy individuals are chasing these coins.

It is also interesting that the 1921 MS 65 toner that was the first coin posted in this thread is in the Aurora Borealis Collection.

Would not be surprised at all if it sold for 70k or whatever privately. That's the Simpson Sunnywood stunner and has a CAC sticker as well.

I'll pass it off to whoever would like to go. I wouldn't be able to find a picture till tomorrow

OK, here is an interesting one. @ToughCOINS bought it raw on ebay, offered it for sale here, which is where I bought it raw, then I had it graded. What did I pay for it from toughcoins? XF45 price guide is $380, but I imagine they go for a little less in that grade. No clue if the double mint mark adds any value.

I guess there are 3 prices really. What toughcoins paid, what I paid, then what I paid PLUS my grading fees, lol. We will just go with my original price though.
