I've seen this type of toning before, can't remember exactly the cause. Probably rubber banded or under some type of cross-hatch weave.. $325. or north wouldn't surprise me, some folks really like these. Not for me. (Nice reverse though!)
I believe the reasoning is that some will pay big bucks for certain toners, and should a bidding war develop... People like what they like.
Peace Dollars aren't my cup of tea. I do know , as a rule, you don't get toning on these, like you do on Morgans. This toning doesn't trip my trigger......Sorry Can I change my bid then, from $150 to $155.....
In terms of changing guesses, I would not recommend it, but if one does it within say an hour, that would be ok. As to how the Peace Dollar may have toned, my guess would be a cardboard holder similar to what some classic commemoratives were stored in.

Alright @Beefer518 here is your big chance! Lets guess at that avatar coin of yers!! Besides, i wanna see what the obverse look like!!
LOL... I'll put the avatar up if you really want, or I can do a Trade Dollar that I don't own, but watched it sell. Either one will have to wait until I get home later this afternoon, though.
@heavycam.monstervam will have to wait for my avatar... What did this sell for? 1875-S Trade Dollar Grade I'd guess AU55-58 (details I'd guess as well)
