Most dealers would probably offer 50 for that coin, I don't think you would have sold it for less than 200 though, so 200

Winner! I sold it for $275.
I believe there was still room on the coin as well. Many of the dealers had weaker toners priced from $400-$1,000. I would not be surprised to see it in someone's case for at least $500.

Very true! There are quite a few dealers that pull out the greysheet and offer 10%-25% under bid. That's when I say "no thank you" and move on to someone more serious. And at the bigger shows I have found a handful of dealers that do pay decently for toners. If I don't find one of these people, like you mentioned, I just wouldn't sell since I am fairly confident that something like this will net around $200 most of the time on ebay. Plus, I paid $245 so I knew that coin had a market and that I wouldn't let it go for a loss.

This is a coin I won on auction several years ago. It was one of those impulse buys and regretted it. When I saw it, something on it was wrong and when an acquaintance saw it, he had to have it and I then sold it to him on the day I received it. I don't want what I paid or what I sold it for.

How much profit did I make on the coin?

    ddddd,

I have a question, if someone guesses the exact amount on a coin, do we stop the game right then and move on or do we wait and let everyone guess?

It's up to each person if they want to end it right away or let it run a bit longer.

I personally would probably end it if I saw at least a few others did comment already.

    Profit: $75

I am also not the biggest fan of that coin. It's decent, but the colors don't look too vibrant and I see a few breaks in the toning to the left of the nose.

Profit from a friend... hmmm.... this is interesting.

    I'll guess you made $25 off him/her.

I'm gonna say $1. You said you regretted your decision, so I think you sold it for little to no profit, like I have done on coins I just want to get rid of.

I'm guessing they liked it and made you an offer you couldn't refuse. Since it's a decent toner in a mechanical error holder, he liked it. I think you sat back and made $125.00 on it.
