Legends, and Platinum Nights, and other superlative auction sales are a completely different marketplace from anything a typical collector will play in. Different galaxy.
I think Kurt is just basking in the Amish Moonshine. He'll come to his senses soon enough once his Rumspringa is over
Colorful toning in general is a completely different marketplace than most collectors could afford to play in.
It's been 24 hrs+, and this thread is getting a little off topic, so... @brg5658 and his WAG 'wins'. I paid $180 for all three. I like @Pickin and Grinin 's guess on future sale. Your turn brg5658
I'll claim half a victory for saying $175 And award both @brg5658 and myself 1 point....but remember the points don't matter! Points Table IBetASilverDollar - 1 Point Beefer518 - 1 Point baseball21 - 1 Point brg5658 - 1 Point ddddd - 1 Point Wow that is a lot of b's Anyways you are next @brg5658
I have a set of newly acquired coins that I am thinking out having conserved, at the ANA this August. Should I Go ANACS, NGC or PCGS?
OK, here it goes. I'm moving to a non-USA coin. I purchased this coin a couple years ago. It is in a PCGS old green holder, graded MS65 sometime between Jan 1990 and mid-1995. Auction results for PCGS MS65 examples without toning are around $150, and the Krause guide price in "MS60" (no price given in higher grade) is $125. One of my favorite toned coins in my collection.
Beautiful colors on both sides. This coin certainly has the "wow" factor. The OGH is an added bonus. Being a world coin likely limits the premium (compared to say a Morgan), but toned collectors would still bid strong on that example. I will go with $275.
I'm going to say a steal at $200, just based on the relative weakness of the market for toned world coins.
This is a complete WAG. I am going to go low this time thinking you got is a while back before the world market was getting much attention and I'll guess $85 for that reason
Since it is the weekend and we have not had too many guesses, the coin posted by @brg5658 can be extended until tomorrow. It is a nice one, let's see some more comments!
It's a world coin. Most have very limited knowledge of world let alone world toner premiums (if any) so most all responses will just be a edited in the dark.
A shot in the dark. Don't know why that was edited unless maybe if I hit "i" instead of "o" on the phone keyboard.
