    This is a specialty type coin. Few have interest in this type coin. For those that don't know, in 1925 some Stone Mountain Half Dollars were counterstamped with a State and a number and sold to bring in money for the Stone Mountain Memorial being built.

    This coin recently sold, at auction, for $1880.

    What did I pay for the raw coin about 7 years ago?
    (Hint, I did not know about these coins until about 2 years later, I thought someone had ruined it by stamping it)

    This ones going to be very difficult. I know the counterstamps have become very popular but not sure what the market for them 7 years ago was. Sounds like at the time you would not have paid much of a premium for it so I will guess 80

    35 ...I'm guessing no color premium then or now (now it's just the specialty premium)
