That sucker cost me $500. ($400 cash + $100 worth of coin value in trade)
Not the highest graded but been told a few times it is the finest toned for the date.
In hand it is absolutely insane.
Looks like ddddd was the closest at $285.

 

I’ll update standings and post something later tonight.

The colors are strong and I was guessing the premium would be high. I often find it harder to tell with Dimes exactly how high though.

Next up is another Morgan. Generic MS 65s have been selling for $100 (give or take $15). What did this one sell for at auction last week?

 

285$? Nice color and obverse, cheek is a shame.

 

$325, Reverse luster looks muted by toning.

 

Reverse toner and dark $226 not a big fan of this one

@Lehigh96 was spot on for this one as it sold for $321.75.
I thought it was decent, but not great (probably a bit too dark for the price). I also thought the 65 grade was generous given the cheek and obverse fields (plus this wasn't one that deserved a toning point bump).

Ok, the PCGS price guide for a 1953-S Franklin Half Dollar in MS66+ is $285. What was the price of this coin?

 

I don’t see the toning adding much of a premium but it’s good looking $315
