So does the buy, sell, or net (differences from both the buy and sell) price determine the winner? Buy: $300.00 Sell: $476.54
I'll go with two winners: one for buy and one for sell. And I'll let this run another day to let a few others take a guess.
And we'll split the points as the Buy was $375 and the Sell was $400. By answering first, @Lehigh96 has first dibs on posting the next toner. Next up is a 1960-P Jefferson Nickel MS66* that I purchased in 2012, what is my buy price. Numismedia Wholesale $37
$50. This is kind of hard, because we’re being asked to guess a price from 6-7 years ago based on a photo and a price guide quote from today. If I were asked to guess a recent sell price, I’d say that’s at least a $150 coin.
I really think you guys are making too much of the time period. The prices of Jefferson Nickels haven’t changed much in last decade and although premiums driven by toning have dropped a little, coins with exemplary toning are still driving strong prices. Btw, that photo is at least 5 years old. I’m not saying you don’t have a point, but this thread is just for fun, and trying to account for value changes over time is kinda sucking the fun out IMO.
