Sorry for the late reveal... this coin sold for $2399 on eBay a few months ago, and I still wish I had had the money to try and work out a deal for it. @ddddd was closest at $2000.

Was it a recent purchase? I ask this because the prices of Russian coins have come down a bit since the sanctions.

I did. I bought an amazingly well struck (even for the date) 1917 ANACS MS65 FH with some really nice toning and stellar luster and eye appeal. I don’t want to discuss the price right now because I’ll probably end up posting it here later, but, needless to say, it wasn’t quite $2400

 

@Johndoe2000$ came closest to the $325 selling price...you're up....

I haven't seen a ton of these toned (or at least attractively toned), so when they do become available there are people willing to pay a nice premium (although auctions can be fickle, so fixed price is often the best strategy to maximize return).
