I can picture you, having a candle light dinner with the coin nestled close by your side. Perhaps a little wine, dim the lights down low and some slow music.

Ya know, if i scored the ultimate Aurora Borealis Morgan, i probably would pop some sort of a top and soak in my score. Probably keep the coin in my pocket for a few days, being ever so careful not to scratch the slab. Am i the only one that would do this? Does everyone else just lock the new coin up in a safe or SDB not to be seen again for 6 months to a year?? Hmmmmmm

 

I once carried a wheat cent in my pocket and almost dropped it...so no coins go in my pockets. I do think it would be worth celebrating if one won an AB Morgan.

Next up is an MS 63 DMPL Toned Morgan in a blue Anacs...guide is around $200 for a normal dmpl; what did this sell for?

 

$325. I think the color is from the coin crying out to be put in a different slab...

 

I actually liked it in the Anacs slab. Still someone agreed with you as I did later see it reslabbed at NGC.
The Blue Anacs holders get a bad rep, but I have seen some nice coins in them.

I have an old Red Book with an ANACS ad showing a $4 proof Stella in a blue slab. Definitely a nice coin but I bet it didn’t spend much time in that slab.
