I wonder if lehigh gets so many alerts on the various forums that he doesnt have time to check them all. There was that one thread where like 5 people sent out an APB no response. Chit, He must be an impo'tant man

@ddddd is our winner with his guess of $225.00. I paid $240.00 for both sets. I don't alway's get steals and I am willing to pay up a bit for attractive coins.

Next up is a new purchase...no guide on this coin, but sales have ranged from $470-$1,000+ (in similar grades; yes that is a wide range!).
Well with a very low mintage 11000 and most pesos ending up in the bay trying to stop the Japanese from getting them as war spoils....I'm thinking you stole it at $379.00 . And just one other point I have included one of these pesos in my dollar type set as they were minted state side....and tne eagle and shield are one of my favorite designs.
@Paddy54 the UNC mintage for 1904 is 11,000 and the Proof Mintage is 1,355 (this one is a proof). If that changes your thoughts, feel free to change your guess. And I agree that this fits nicely in a dollar type set. Plus these tend to be more affordable than proof Morgans (and being the same size and from relatively the same era, it's a good substitute).
Here all day today i was patting myself on the back for my newp and you totally 1 up'd me. NICE !! 650?
Sorry guys, I just played over 50 hours of poker in the last 3 days and for all but the last few hours I was losing. Cruising the forums is easy when I'm winning but I forget all about Cointalk when I'm stuck. The 1953 is nice, but that 1954 is amazing. I actually have never collected proof Jeffersons, but that coin might make me start.
What tourney are you playing in? Tell me it's for a World Series of Poker seat or something. I miss playing poker. Yeah I am totally in love with that 1954. I was just about knocked over when my favorite local dealer was not asking any premium for the toning. I actually bought the 1953 set in hopes of flipping it to help me get the 1954 set for free.
