Though uncertain, the lion is of very similar style to the lions featured on the fractional coinage from Kyzikos.</p><p><br /></p><p>Is it Kyzikos? Tough for me to say. With the only evidence cited being the lion, I'm not convinced.</p><p>Is it a shield on the obverse? The design sure looks that way... though I have rose colored shield shaped glasses for those.
