Those marks arent shallow, by thier own definition, that nickel does not qualify for FS, thats only one that sold for 1500 at heritage, there's another sold for 12,400 and another sold for 24,000, all Falsely graded, itsa shame they can do whatever they want

Full Steps (FS) is the designation following the numerical grade of some regular-strike MS60 or higher Jefferson nickels that have at least five separated steps (lines) at the base of Moniticello. Any major disturbance or interruption of these steps or lines, whether caused by contact, planchet problems, or another source, will result in the coin's not being designated FS. Only the slightest weakness on any step (line) is allowed for this designation. Some issues are almost never seen with Full Steps and may command a significant premium.

heres what full steps are supposed to look like, is not a widely open opinionated designation that can go anyway you want when it comes to dealer friends, reletives, or the buddy-buddy system !

Do you realize that I’m the author of the thread you just linked? And the key word in their standard is “major disturbance” which means they allow shallow marks across the steps. I’m not going to argue about the coins you posted because I haven’t seen the coins in hand, and have already admitted that they have screwed the pooch from time to time.

However, I will agree that if you wanna debate this further you should start your own thread and stop hijacking this one, especially since we have an active entry. Thank you!

Absolutely at. And awful. I’m guessing cooked in slab. No way pcgs would straight gradecit unless the graders were drunk

The person that sold it on eBay got it to straight grade relatively recently. He posted it raw after saying he found it in an original roll around 3 months ago and then listed it for sale around 1.5 months ago in the PCGS holder.

Your question is not off topic, as we’re discussing toned coins, but you’re still hijacking this thread...
