The representative I saw was opposed to anything with <i>man</i> in it... even <i>woman</i> is offensive to these types. Some of the institutions mentioned — excluding the obvious ones, of course — include Purdue, U of Illinois in Carbondale, Howard County CC, U of Mo and Iowa State. </p><p><br /></p><p>As the man who originally hired me into my publishing career said to me, &quot;True academics are dead... most people are just there to draw a paycheck then go home.
