<p>[QUOTE="red_spork, post: 2737082, member: 74282"]If you're considering the Second Punic War period, keep in mind that there are both Rome mint examples and also examples coming from several different field mints, both fully-anonymous and with various symbols. Each mint had its own style as well and I recommend checking out the <a href="https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?term=as+janus&category=1-2&en=1&de=1&fr=1&it=1&es=1&ot=1&images=1&currency=usd&thesaurus=1&order=3&company=83&auction=1307&lot=" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?term=as+janus&category=1-2&en=1&de=1&fr=1&it=1&es=1&ot=1&images=1&currency=usd&thesaurus=1&order=3&company=83&auction=1307&lot=" rel="nofollow">various Janus-headed asses in the RBW collection</a> to get a feel for them. Roma just put up e-Auction 36 recently and it has a pretty impressive selection of RR bronzes, many ex RBW or ex Andrew McCabe.
