I’d appreciate opinions on this penny. On the left side of the reverse, there is a mysterious line that runs from the top of the Memorial to the ground. It almost gives a 3D effect.

It’s fairly straight and I’m wondering what caused it. Not likely to be a die chip. I’m sure there is 6B52116D-6852-476C-A69B-6C19F7D1ACF7.jpeg EC5075C1-07DC-40EE-BA3A-C23604A0916C.jpeg 44DD7D40-5D16-428A-BCD4-D3B05F30A14F.jpeg 924885C5-323E-474E-9B1C-7B11014C4DFF.jpeg 8718DF25-2F15-42B2-82F6-239FAAD2E969.jpeg 640E29CA-F5D3-4E95-B1FA-2F4512A12EF6.jpeg 4B5D895C-AE8B-4180-ACB1-319FCC88D768.jpeg the explanation of intentional vandalism but are there other possibilities?

Can’t be worth anything but my curiosity is aroused. Opinions and thoughts welcomed.

It looks like a scratch to me. It could have been caused by a staple. ~ Chris
