The secret of cleaning coins.

    Make sure it is distilled water. Tap water can have impurities that will damage coins.

    In reference to the distilled water comment..he is correct in one way...known as DI water the ionic components have been removed making it "cleaner" than tap water...going a bit further..you can have what is called "WFI" water for injection" it is pure water measuring between 17.5 and 18.3 ohms technically pure...that water however takes some hightech equip to produce...for those whom are interested. But the topic remains why would you want to clean a possibly high $$$$ coin? I can see some common date crud encrusted clump just to see waht it is..but thats it.
