I don't mind either way, if the contest is closed early or it goes for the full time. I really did like this contest though! It was a lot of fun
Sent my answer in. As stated above the secret is to look for words that can simply only be a few words, due to their shortness. Certain letters almost always go or don't go together, ie. its hard to find x next to z in natural English words. Also, anybody who has played Scrabble or watched Jeopardy knows what the most common letters are.
Because Alex Trebek is a very smart guy, and if you had called him, you might have had the answer in minutes. Chris
i was really struggling with this and then it just sort of fell in to place. answer Pm'ed thanks for an excellent contest
And there is adz or syzygy or zax or antidisestablishmentarianism or Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. LOL
Anyone who could use "syzygy" in a cryptogram would have to be a sadistic genius. I can't even use that word in a sentence.
Time enough to go get my nails done! (Kidding, actually time to figure out what to do with a huge tree (mine) that blew down onto my neighbor's roof late last nite..yikes!) Lucy
Ending early sounds great to me! Your contest and your rules, the ball is in your court. Just don't throw it at me, it's been way too long since I've played dodge ball.
We now have 41 entries, and I think there may be one or two more in the works with less than 7 hours left. Chris
