That's cool... I suppose it's so. But the point was people aren't hassled for using $1 coins. When one person is hassled (or allegedly hassled) and we blow that put of proportion, we create a distorted view which doesn't reflect reality. And people do that a lot. Perhaps a good way to put it "Exceptions don't create a rule."
Just out of curiosity, why is it so important to "have a choice" when it comes the 1.00 denomination? Isn't it terrible that those who want 0.25 notes or 2.00 coins are simply stuck with what is available instead of being offered metal and paper options? Christian
I was talking about myself and my friends, and others that have shared stories with me,when i said pepople get hassled (and not allegedly I promise I'm not making it up or lieing) and I wasnt trying to imply any absolutes. I still use them, and I think its funny when people get mad that I do. More then 1/101 people get hassled (it wouldnt be an issue if tit was only 1 out of 101) that doesnt mean I'm saying 101/101 do though. Ive gotten dirty looks, people saying these arent real coins, people complaining to me that there is no where to put them in the drawer, and so on. I'm saying that many people already have a distorted perception and refuse to try something new, and they shouldnt. I did not think half a sentance on that was blowing things out of proportion, but if it was I apologize
how many on here have ordered the direct ship Prez dollars from the mint? they offer free shipping and plus if you get a rebate on your credit card - your in the plus + my own thought & action - so i ordered $500 dollars worth - I receive 25 dollars toward my credit card rebate which gives 5%. so for everyone i spend, i'm basically getting a nickel toward my rebate. every little bit helps and no one has ever complained about getting one. i have spent thousands, so no one really bats a eye at them anymore. no brainer !!!!!
Now that’s thinking.:thumb: What we should be doing is telling the cashiers some fun-facts about the presidential dollars we are spending.:secret:
