Some of my favorite niche areas are shields, sports and musical instruments.
Here are some of the latter: 20190327_142656_CAA0607F-057A-4CF7-AB02-91BE0D72847D-469-00000083ADA8078E.png 20200328_165215_IMG_5002.JPG 20190327_140631_290BC852-966C-4568-89F3-D5C17962C775-469-0000007CD5002D0B.png 20190728_101530_B4C42FB1-430F-40FA-959B-4775DBF37594-1718-0000026E01DA58F6.png

Having read the obituary of Jennie Litvak, who is called the high mistress of the shofar, I wonder if the Romans when in Judea heard this instrument, an instrument with a deep throaty sound also mentioned in the Bible.

Here she blows a shofar made from the horn of the greater kudu, an African antelope, amazing:

Rome was sacked by Brennus and the Gauls in 387 BCE. The Romans for many years were fearful, and/or dreaded this instrument of the Celts.

    Beautiful music to the Celts!
