Okay, we've done Elagabalus and his mom and wives before backtracking to the overlooked Macrinus and Diadumenian. Now it's time to move on to Severus Alexander, his mother, Julia Mamaea, and his wife Orbiana.

    I missed the backtracking...so...uh...can I still play?

This Diadumenian was a wish list type coin. I love military themed coins which is a lot of coins in the ancient world and when I first saw a city gate I fell in love. The coin below looks a little rough but in hand is much nicer.
    Diadumenian, AD 217-218
    AE, 28mm, 11.4g; 12h; Nikopolis ad Istrum
Obv.: K M OΠΕΛ ΔΙΑΔΟUMENIANOC AV; draped bust right
Rev.: UΠ ΑΓΡΙΠΠΑ NIKOΠΟΛΙΤΩΝ ΠΡΟC ICTΠ; city gate with three crenulated towers

The Elagabalus coin fits the military theme with the standards and is just as bright green in hand as the photo.
    Elagabalus, AD 218-222
    AE, 23mm, 6.41g; 12h; Nicaea, Bithynia
Obv.: M AVPH ANTΩNINOC AVG; Laureate head right
Rev.: N-IK-AI-E-[ΩN] beneath the masts of legionary standards; eagle facing, head right, wings spread, between two standards surmounted by capricorns.

Sorry for taking the thread backwards again.
    Next:
Severus Alexander, his mother, Julia Mamaea, and his wife Orbiana
    (I'm out until Herennius Etruscus)

Love that Diadumenian, those city gates are fantastic. And yours is no exception.

    Maximinus / Ares from Anchialus
I enjoy this obverse legend which ran out of room for EVCEBHC AVΓ (Pius Augustus) so used two ligatures. Planning ahead, there is another at ME in MAΞIMEINOC.

Why not add Maximus? This 4 assaria is from Tomis and shows Hygeia with her snake.

Shall we move on to Gordian I, Gordian II, Balbinus and Pupienus?

Sorry I have none of these to contribute, but will have for Gordy III and Tranquillina (next).

One of my favourite coins - a huge Balbinus provincial:

Cilicia, Tarsus: Balbinus, 238 AD. AE 36 mm, 24.31 gm. Obv: Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right. Rev: Pupienus(?), radiate, on horseback right, casting javelin at lion leaping right beneath with head left; A in legend, M/K and G/B in fields. SNG Levante Supp. 280 (this coin); SNG France 1630.

On to Gordian III and Tranquillina! Post 'em if you got 'em and I know you got 'em!

These coins abound and I have so many provincials of the imperial couple that I can't post them all. Here is my all-time favorite one, though, which you can read about in more detail here if you want to:

Gordian III and Tranquillina Tomis Nemesis.JPG

I think this is Gordian III and Serapis, but I'm not entirely certain. I've got about four more in similar condition but with different reverses (but no pictures). Considering this came for a lot that worked as it to about 15¢ per coin, I can't really complain!

It is definitely Gordy and Serapis. I can make out ΓΟΡΔΙΑΝΟϹ on the obverse and that is Serapis, as one can tell by the Kalathos. Good job on attributing that one!
