    2015 - Britannia £2

    Silver proof piedfort. Mintage: 2000

A prelude to the new £2 coins to be circulated and the first to show the Queen's 5th definitive portrait as well as a return of Britannia on mass circulation coins after a leave of absence.

As of October 2016, the Royal mint published and ranked the circulating £2 Brittania as the UK's 4th rarest circulating coin by mintage (650,000) behind the New Gardens 50 pence (210,000) and £2 Commonwealth Games (Northern Ireland '485,000' and Wales '588,000' that coincidentally shared the same design).

It's nice that Britain changes their coins so often. Most are really nice too.

Very Cool. I hear they are going to be doing a reverse proof soon. That will be pretty nice.
