I'm just curious, are the die clashes recessed into the coins? I for some reason expect the image to be raised instead of recessed, but I've never really seen one.

For the most part a clash will show as raised on the coin and mainly only on the fields.

Who are we to argue with all of Rascal's many years of experience in error coins?

I know an easy way to end this argument, Rascal. Send your coin to PCGS. When it comes back post good pictures of the slab. I'll even reimburse you the grading fee, plus $100.00, if it comes back a confirmed error.

I do not like PCGS slabbed coins. Will you promise me the same offer if John Wexler the best error coin man in the business tells you this coin is a real error or will the offer be good for either ANACS or NGC ? I hope you have that 100.00 handy because I need it.

Gotta be PCGS or NGC, and I must be able to verify it on their website with serial number and photo. Description of the error MUST appear on the label. I will also need original copy of final invoice. That's all I'll give you.

One other thing. You pay postage and insurance.

now what gave you the idea that I want you to agree with me ? I don't care what your opinions are. If you realy want to talk about a insult look in the mirror about the insults you are throwing my way. even your last post before this one, post #78 I suppose you are one of the folks that likes to dish it out without any thing coming you way.

There's nothing insulting in post #78!

You just treat any opposing opinion as an insult.

add in the shipping and insurance cost for 500.00 worth of insurance and we have a confirmed deal . I like NGC slabs better than ICG slabs anyway. send me a private message with your email and home address and I will do the same for you after confirming you sent the right addresses.. We can talk better over the phone or thru emails.

My payment of postage, insurance, grading costs and $100.00 reward will happen only after you post a picture of your cent, here on CT, in the slab with the error listed on it's label, and I can verify the certification number and it's photograph on the NGC website. When those requirements are met, I will send you my USPS address so you can provide me with the original postage/insurance receipt and the original final invoice for the NGC grading. When those documents have been received and accepted, I will make my payment to you in the form of a USPS money order. My offer expires at 11:59PM EST on Friday, December 30, 2011, and all requirements of this offer must be met by that time. There is no need for any further negotiation of this offer. You either accept my offer as made or decline.

I have not insulted you but I have ask questions that you refuse to answer. Lets try this again.
Tell us why the reverse of the coin shows no signs of a clash or the die being damaged.

I may not be the smartest person on the block but I'm sure as heck not that stupid because I don't know your address or where you live. when I make a deal I like to collect my cash. I will send the coin to John Wexler and pay his price and only charge you the 100.00 if you will accept that offer . you would definately owe me the 100.00 that's for sure. I just got thru finding some good proof to go by on this coin and you stuck your foot in your mouth before I could put the extra info. on here. so for now I will not give any more info. on my awesome coin. this may be my best buy ever.

I know this was wrote as a insult towards me but it is not going to bother me in any way what you say. I told you the honest truth about how many years I have been collecting and studying error and variety coins. would you please be truthfully and tell me how many years you have been at it if any at all. sooner or later you will learn who that is on here that actually knows what they write about. I have been weeding thru the crowd and I have only been on here for a short time , it is easy for me to recognise the ones that knows about error coins. anyone that wants to learn instead of acting ignorant and goofing off has a perfect place to learn fast on this forum and the internet.

    Read my offer again!
    I don't want your coin!
I will give you my address first.
I will not ask you for your address until it is time to mail the Money order.
    My offer stands as is.
    Take it or leave it.
    Put up or shut up.

Taking me up on my offer is the only way to prove that you are correct.
Not taking me up on my offer destroys what little credibility you have here on CT.

    No cojones, Rascal?

If you're right about your "miraculous 1988 Lincoln Cent Major Die Clash error"
you've got nothing to lose and you're ahead by a C note.
