BNB, I am looking over your thread here and I have been following it closely. You see, I have been wanting this coin for many, many years now, but every time I get the money saved up, something comes up or something else interests me. For many years, I wouldn't even consider buying this coin, unless it was in the OGP with the 4 gold coins, but over the years, I have come to realize that since I don't collect AGEs, I don't necessarily want the 4 gold coins and a graded PR69 ASE would be fine with me. So the real question is why are you really wanting to buy the set.....to get the 95W ASE or do you want the whole set???? Making money or saving money is really secondary to the whole question here. I think you made a fine choice considering as you mentioned that you didn't have 5k to spend, but if you did, would you be selling off your gold pieces now? While everything you point out in your thread makes sense about possibly saving/making some money in the overall transaction, I am perfectly happy maybe paying a few hundred dollars more to acquire a graded example of the 95W ASE as you did. The extra time it would take me to break the set up and send it off to be graded and then sell off the remaining coins to me is worth $500-700 just for my time. Also, by doing it that way, it could end up costing you more money, because what happens if the ASE comes back a PR65? How would that affect the overall value of the coin in the long run when you try and resell the coin down the road? I don't know, so that is why I think you made a great decision to buy the ASE for the price you did and when you did. You won't be sorry you did. So unless you are really wanting the AGEs in the OGP, I would say don't worry and enjoy the coin. Be proud that you are one of around 30k or less people in the world to have this coin.
