    I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. When you refer to collecting, do you really mean speculating and hoarding? Collecting modern circulating currency has nothing to do with making money. I am currently collecting a set of Jefferson Nickels from circulation - When I am done, I will have a full set of pocket change, worth a few dollars. That is a collection. Just because you don't expect these dollars to ever appreciate in value shouldn't stop you from building a set for a couple of dollars a coin.

    Know what Rugrats? You're absolutely right. Find something you like to collect and do it without the hassel of ever worrying if it's going to go up or down in value. Collecting in its' purest form.....:)

    Hi all!

    Green18 is right. Many of the coins in my collection will never be worth more than I paid for them (a few are selling for less than face value. A few have doubled and tripled in value. I own them because I like them, not because I expect to profit from them. :eek:hya:
