The Pobjoy Mint

    Going through the days takings from our shop and preparing the floats for the cash registers, I found this beat up 1 pound coin among the 1 Euro coins. As I had never seen one before I looked it up on Numista. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces23601.html
    It was only struck in 1989 as a circulating commemorative. There are no mintage figures for it that I can find.
    Apart from the scant information on their website and on Wiki, informing that The Pobjoy Mint is the largest independent mint in Europe specialising mainly in Gold and Silver commemoratives, I cannot find out much more about them. If any of you have more info or can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated

    Thanks. I had read their website but in most aspects it is advertising of their achievements, I was hoping to find info on their circulating currency but it seems they prefer to promote their "specials". The search goes on
