    Wow great story.I only wish i would have read it a year ago! Not knowing the value of it i gave one to my wifes sister.Iam thinking that i payed for there new cars.Anyway if you know of one that comes up for sale can you let me know. So i can find out where it came from

    They ... just wrapped filming on another piece for Telemundo not 5 minutes ago, lol.

    At least this time it's for something that a million people will think they have: 1913 Liberty Nickels.

    Hello Amanda, I actually saw the first report when it was televised and at the end of the report I sat on my sofa shaking my head no, no, NO! Being a collector and searching for the 43 copper and 44 steel myself, the first thing I thought was they did not explain the differences in these 2 cents. I laughed and thought that maybe nobody would care of such a prize. Now reading this post and seeing the other 2 reports that were televised I'm just dumbfounded about a simple word that could of been used to better correct and explain the misunderstanding. The 2 guys especially James kept referring to the 1944 steel cent in Spanish as only being valuable if it were "metal".. in English metal is translated "metal" :banghead:. The correct definition should of been "Acero" which translates to the word "steel". So they continued to give the wrong explanation and probably continued to confuse the hispanic viewers! They should of simply explained that the 1944 steel just like the 1943 steel were made of "acero" and that they were both magnetic! Hope to hear from you :smuggrin:

    Awesome, didn't need subtitles. I still have my AP and College Spanish memory!

    That's so crazy how many people called. But then again, how many people have change jars in their homes. And how many of those people watch Telemundo. A LOT I'd wager.

    Great story and quite the frenzy. I just wish they'd do a segment about how awesome and "valuable" Ikes or Kennedys are ... oh well :)
