I bought a few other coins yesterday as well as the '83-CC. I figured I would post the other dollar I bought. After looking it over, I figure it's probably a MS65 common date 1885-O with a really nice strike. I attributed it as a VAM-21.

The lighting sure makes it look worse than it really is in hand.

Hi end 64 in my opinion. Doesn't hold a candle to the other. That ones hard to beat

Split the difference and say 64 plus. Looks like a cull compared to the one you posted yesterday!:woot:

Look at all those scratches, and several tiny nicks on the rims. (Not that it's horrible)

Yes it does not hold a candle to the other one. But in hand she is not much of a slouch.

Sorry, Justin, you spoiled us with the other one. :)

Excellent strike for New Orleans, fair amount of chatter but nothing life-threatening, yeah I could get behind 64 for it. I can see the doubled 5 of VAM-21 in your image.

That V-shaped mark under the chin is amonalous, photographically speaking. Nothing reflects anywhere and you're using two lights - one would think something would catch some light especially in the "bright zone" of 10-2 lighting.

Hahaha... Yeah that '83-CC certainly was a spoiler.. It's like eating ground beef for a year straight, then someone giving you a Ribeye with perfect marbling one night, then going back to ground beef... It get's hard to swallow after that Ribeye.. LOL

That's why I submitted the '83-CC to PCGS all by it's lonesome.
