Meow likes it for the luster too, and the fact the fields have minimal detracting marks. Meow has seen many MS66s that don't look this nice. Maybe the physical grade might be better on a MS66, but this has many MS66 beat in the appeal category.
I'm all about eye appeal over technical grade. Dunno if this one would be worth the expense of trying for a 66. Might have a shot, might not. Check the price spread. I'm too lazy/busy to do so at the moment. If there's a big enough leap in price between 65 and 66, and you're up for gambling the resubmission costs, then go for it. If there isn't too big a spread, it might not be worth the hassle and expense. Or keep it as it is. Regardless, it's purdy.
Yes, the coin looks even better in the second pair of pictures. It's definitely a shiny and fabulous Walker. Still, I'm with Lord Marcovan on checking the value difference between MS65 and MS66 and seeing if it's even worth the trouble. But also factor in that any time you crack a coin out of a slab you risk inadvertently damaging it.
Well, upgrading was never the intention. Meow just wanted to be able to buy a really nice Walker at MS65ish price. MS66 Walkers cost about double for this year. And many MS66 ones don't quite have the eye appeal this one does. So its a win Meow thought.
I like your new pictures. And I really like your coin. I agree that it is an accurately graded, but very attractive 65. Meow did well on this one.
