Meow was just pawing through some old image files and came across this, and wanted to share it. It the only image Meow has of this coin, as it has LONG been stashed in the Cat hoard. Meow is a modern coin CRH Cat. So does not have too much interest in older issues, but wanted to have at least one example of some older coins. So Meow would search fleabay for an affordable, yet very nice for the price example to own. Meow paid $50 for this half dollar in a graded ANACS holder. It is as nice as it seems in this image, and Meow is confident it is under graded. And again, sorry this is the only image Meow has of it. But its pretty right?
Oh well, it was one of the first coins Meow tried to take pictures of. So Meow has learned to take better ones now. Meow does not seem to have any other pictures of it on file, sorry.
Oh yea, Meow also bought a peace dollar that seemed really nice for the grade too. Meow has a bunch of pictures of it as it has some interesting things going on. Meow will make another thread for it. And here it is. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/a-pretty-interesting-peace.343705/
That does look like a very nice Walker, Meow. Based on only the photo above, it could very well be a solid 65. Again, based only on the photo above, I suspect that it wouldn't grade higher than that. But 65 is a pretty nice grade. Also, as already said, we would need to see both sides to know for sure. I have a 1939-D NGC MS65 Walker that I'll post for comparison. I'm not saying that it's better or worse, I'm just posting it for comparison.
Meow cant really tell too much about the luster of this half. The photo does not highlight it much. It looks to be in decent grade. The coin Meow bought is fully blast white, so it adds to the prettiness of it. Maybe its the luster that makes Meow think its a better grade. Yours to Meow looks better than MS65 too.
I can't answer for me, but as that is my birth year I would have paid $50 for it in a second. I have a few '44s, some with great luster, but not with this one's detail.
I love these coins....as you can clearly see from my avatar. I really love them in blast white condition. Nice one Meow....thanks for sharing.
Could you try taking some new pictures of it, both obverse and reverse? It really is impossible to tell you a grade based on this picture. I'll say it looks nice, and has a good strike, but I look forward to seeing better pictures.
Well Meow did know exactly where this is in the Cat hoard, so dug it out. Took one pic for each side, and a few picks of some nickels in small white holders.
