I was pleased when one of my long time customers brought this note in for sale this week. This note is unique in several ways. This is the only known surviving example and was the plate note in Wolka's Indiana obsolete banknote book. According to Wolka this is the ONLY obsolete in the US that featured a lion and only 1 of 3 notes done entirely in blue ink making this a rare and desirable note.

Usually not a big obsolete guy, but jeez. The blue ink is awesome.

Hey Frank, just borrow Ken's P-38...get you there a lot faster.:D

Great looking old obsolete Matt. I collect obsoletes but stick mainly with NJ pieces.

Beautiful, Matt, what a rare item to just "walk in" off the street! Thanks for the pics.

This one did walk in the store but the owner and I are friends and I had an idea it was coming. We acquired this note and 54 other R.7+ and unlisted Indiana obsoletes in the deal. I think there were about a dozen other Wolka plate notes. This note however just screams at you.
