Thanks. In-hand, the colors are a little richer than the photo portrays. It's one of my favs. It was a bargain too.

I paid just under FMV for it. Made a best offer just under NGC price guide, as it was a coin worth owning, and the seller took it immediately. It was very fairly priced.

Updated our PM with some possibilities for you. And Thanks for the comments on the coin I recently posted.

Agree. This coin is properly graded as a 63. I'd say it's an average 63 as well.

@GoldFinger1969, when it comes to DPL's, to steal a line from "Field of Dreams"..."Go the distance....". What I mean is be picky. The reflective fields of a DPL are very sexy, but when you get too much chatter in the fields (like in most 63's), it takes away from the coin more than you think. Make your first one a 64 and spend the time waiting for the right one. You'll be happy you did.

But is it a 63 despite the cheek hits ? Without them, and that 'gouge' to the left of the nose, you could make the case for 65, no ?

    I am Joe....being VERY patient.

I don't mind buying a "bad" coin for $200 but if I spend close to $750-$1,000 it better be one you guys praise. :D

More importantly, when you spend $750+, it better be one you love. That's why with Morgan's, it's difficult for me to want to complete the set. For example, the '93-S, do I really want to spend that much for a heavily circulated coin? For me, no, I don't. I'd rather spend it in other areas.

No-- it would've been a 63 without the cheek mess. I would have graded that one as a 62. You can find a nice, legitimate 64 for $500-700 that is beautiful. Within the next 4-5 days, I will find you a beauty that is a high in grade, attractive 64, and message you with it. The coin will be one that I would buy. I will PM you, and all you will have to do is pull the trigger.

You likely could, unfortunately, those contact marks do exist. Do you like the coin? Like I posted earlier, I think it's properly graded.

You can count on me to seriously consider it. You are almost as in good hands as George Costanza was when Kramer hooked him up with 'Slippery Pete.' :D

Yeah, I don't care for the name either.....:D (inside Seinfeld humor)

Here are (3) Morgan's I picked up last week. I bought them raw from bullion shops. The highest price paid for one was $45.00. I'm seriously considering sending them to NGC for grading.

Those photos look 'strange' compared to others that show more brightness and reflection...how did you take them ?

Yeah, I'm not confident about exact grades with those pics but I am sure the best on each is 64. Maybe 65 for the 86p but I don't think so

Agreed-- I would think 64. Not worth the submission feed.

The photo's were taken with a very high angle of lighting. I used a total of three lights to illuminate the surface.

I knew I would get comments on the low MS-64 grades. But, I can pretty much guarantee the lowest grade in the group would come back MS-65. The luster on each of these is booming and the fields and cheeks are very clean.
