[QUOTE="Publius2, post: 4124511, member: 105571"]I went to the 3-day Lakeland, Florida Collecto-Rama annual show on Friday (first day). Usually about 100 dealers including fossils, gems and jewelry but mostly coins. Noticeably fewer dealers than in past years, maybe 80% of usual but the walk-in trade seemed about normal. I picked up a 1723 Woods Hibernia Farthing but the other coins I looked at, the ask prices were very high so I didn't even make an offer. OTOH, a friend of mine picked up several coins and some currency and felt like he was very successful.

To John Skelton's question: There is a monthly coin show at the Maitland Civic Center which is on the north side of Orlando. Both shows have the usual mix of Morgans, bullion, common raw material, common slabbed material, a little bit of foreign material, a bit of ancient, a bit of gold but not much, a bit of jewelry. Very little early copper or colonial. Occasionally, you can find some unusual stuff, or nice type.
