Whitman has reprinted Dave Bowers' 1964 book Coins & Collectors. It was the first coin book I read. Borrowed it from the public library in 1974. :)

The old books are cool for historical reference. I sent a coupon in to Whitman just to see what the coin literature was that they were going to send. I got a first edition reprint of the 1947 Redbook. The coin in my avatar went for around $3.50 in 1947.
